Underhung Cranes for Non-metallic Mineral Production

Recently, Aicrane successfully provided three 5 ton underhung cranes to a non-metallic mineral production workshop in Uzbekistan. Basic Information of the Project

Client Challenge: High Workshop Ceiling

The client’s manufacturing workshop has an exceptionally high ceiling, approximately 18 meters, which posed significant difficulties for the traditional installation of overhead cranes. This height limitation made standard internal installation methods infeasible, affecting the efficiency of material handling and overall production. The client required an effective solution that would address this challenge without disrupting existing factory operations.

Our Solution: Roof Removal for External Installation

After thorough evaluation and discussion, we proposed an innovative solution: partially removing the factory’s roof to allow for the underhung cranes’ installation from the outside. This method overcame the height constraints while minimizing disruptions to the production floor.

The implementation process mainly included the following steps as below:

• Roof Removal: In coordination with the client, a professional team safely removed a section of the workshop roof, creating the necessary access for the overhead crane installation.
• External Hoisting: Using large external cranes, the three AQ-LX 5 ton under-running cranes were carefully hoisted and positioned into place. Precise calculations ensured safe and efficient installation.
• Internal Setup and Testing: Once installed, the cranes were secured, tested, and adjusted by our technical experts to ensure optimal performance under actual operating conditions.

In addition to delivering high-quality overhead crane equipment, we also provided end-to-end support to the client as required.

• Installation and Commissioning: A dedicated team completed all installations and operational tests, ensuring the three underhung cranes were fully functional before being handed over.
