For precast bridge construction, the prefab concrete beam need to be transferred from the prefab yard to the construction site. The solution for prefab yard requires combination of several heavy lifting machinery.

Option 1: General Purposed Gantry Crane

The gantry crane within the prefab yard is designed to handle and position prefabricated concrete beams and other materials with precision. If there are already rails in the prefab yard, we recommend the rail mounted gantry crane which can use on the existing rails. They are suitable for lighter concrete components. The gantry crane excels in relocating beams, loading them onto hydraulic transporters or trucks, and executing lifting tasks within the yard.

Option 2: Straddle Carrier Crane & Hydraulic Transporter

The tyre straddle carrier is for the efficient handling of heavier prefabricated beams in the prefab yard. This transportation solution is adept at handling massive loads ranging from 50 to 1000 tons.Its primary function involves facilitating the loading of these prefabricated beams onto hydraulic transporters, optimizing the logistics for seamless delivery to construction sites.

In the process of road and bridge construction, the cross-line straddle carrier and launching gantry crane are two commonly used pieces of equipment. They each have different functionalities and are applicable in specific construction scenarios, chosen and applied based on the specific construction needs.

Option 1: Utilizing Hydraulic Transporter with Cross-Line Straddle Carrier

The cross-line straddle carrier is suitable for scenarios where the construction site has limited space and efficient transportation and lifting of precast components are needed, such as in urban bridge and viaduct construction. The hydraulic transporter can transport the prefab concrete beam from the prefab yard to the road bridge construction site. The cross-line straddle carrier crane can be used for lower bridges. After we show the design of straddle carrier to customers and get their approval, the product will be produced. Then it will be transported to the construction site. Firstly, the carrier is utilized to adeptly lift and position prefabricated segments onto the carrier itself from hydraulic transporters. Subsequently, it transports these segments to their designated installation points.
