How to choose the right foundry crane?

Foundry bridge crane operation
Foundry crane is one of the key equipment in the steel making process. It is mainly used to charge molten iron and molten steel into the converter in the converter charging section, and to lift the ladle to the continuous casting ladle turntable in the receiving section or to the refining furnace in the refining section.

What is foundry crane?

The crane is mainly composed of main trolley, auxiliary trolley, bridge frame, trolley operating mechanism, gantry hook group and electric control.
Hook: The fixed gantry hook group is suspended on the main trolley through steel wire ropes. The two plate hooks has fixed operation at intervals to lift the ladle.
Trolley: The two trolleys can operate independently to complete various hoisting operations. It can also be used in conjunction to complete ladle turnover, residual steel pouring and waste slag operations.
Safety operation system
The main hook is a fixed-spacing hook beam. It has the applications to lift the ladle. The auxiliary hook has the cooperate with the main hook to dump molten iron and other auxiliary functions. The operating mechanism of the trolley and the main electrical equipment are installed in the main beam. The electrical room of the main beam is insulated with rock wool and equipped with air coolers.
In order to reduce the heat radiation of the molten steel to the metal structural parts, a heat insulation board is arranged along the span direction at the bottom of the main beam. The trolleyoperating mechanism adopts four-corner drive. The crane is equipped with an electronic scale, and there are obvious display devices in the driver’s cabin and on the bridge frame.
